Steven Sturdivant was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico and moved to Ohio when he was 3 years old. His love and passion for flowers and nature are part of his family history. His great grandfather, Paul Wearts, worked as head Gardner at Franklin Park Conservatory. His grandmother, Senya Schwartz's, love of gardens and wildflowers sparked his curiosity and she passed her knowledge and experience to him at a young age. His father, Jim's, love of Ohio's farm land and the outdoors helped Steven learn more as he assisted his father on their family farm. His mother, Mabel, always supported and encouraged his interests and taught him to be true to himself.
